Growing, dynamic New York-based Public Relations firm seeks an intern to work on teams serving fashion, lifestyle and consumer brands. The firm specializes in marketing and public relations strategies across fashion, lifestyle, media and entertainment sectors, and is quickly expanding into other categories.

We are seeking an intern who can commit to at least two or three days a week with some flexibility in dates. The Intern will gain experience working for a public relations/marketing strategy company through a variety of ways:

This is a great opportunity to learn the inner workings of public relations and gain much needed hands-on experience with fashion, entertainment and lifestyle clients. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, personable, organized, and professional. This is a non-paid position, which requires a laptop.

INTERN DUTIES AND TASKS:
-Monitor, clip and scan essential client press
-Assist with client press reporting
-Research, compile press kits & build media lists
-Support administratively as needed, including running errands

INTERN REQUIREMENT:
-Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Photoshop
-Communication, Journalism, English, Marketing, and PR majors preferred
-Laptop
-Minimum commitment of 2 or 3 days/week from 10:00am-6:00pm

Product Testing Intern

Internship description:
The goal of the Quality Assurance intern is to understand all aspects of quality assurance by supporting the Quality Assurance manager. The intern will gain knowledge of product labeling, industrial regulations, product testing of textiles and home hard good products. The intern will also learn how to troubleshoot and make concise business decisions.

Internships are paid at $13/hour.

Responsibilities:
Home Lifestyles QA/TD:
a. Assisting in creating the PSFs with testing protocols & measurements
b. Review product labeling
c. Issue/update pass/fail forms for Product Testing
d. Interact with various Quality Assurance Departments to assist in resolving QC issues for direct imports: issuing dispositions, reviewing product with QA issues, providing technical product information, following up on various products.
e. Communicate with agents/factories on various QA related topics/issues
f. Assist with daily responsibilities: filing, maintaining files, mailing & opening packages/boxes, measuring textile products, review hard-line products

Background required:
• Coursework in Sustainability/Production/International/Supply
• Textile Testing (Hardlines/Softlines) experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is a MUST.
• Interest in Quality Assurance is a plus

Internship Description:
To understand the internal structure of the Retail Operation department. To become familiar and knowledgeable about the daily office operations and the intern will assist in strengthening the Escada brand.

Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Retail Operations Manager, assisting in all facets of Retail Business Management, including, but not limited to the following tasks:
• Organize and streamline communication between our 14 Retail and 6 Company(outlet) stores, and the Corporate office
• Assist in compiling and analyzing business trends using key performance indicators such as Sales, Product Selling, Inventory Turn, Operating Expense/ P&L reports on a weekly/monthly basis

Assist sales executives in all aspects of the Wholesale department. Internship will also give the individual showroom experience while working with account executive team.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop analytical and retail math skills
- Hands on experience with market preparations, samples, events, preparing showroom for market, assisting in market appointments, verifying orders after appointments, partaking in production and assembly of sample sketchbooks, and assisting models backstage during market appointment and runway showcases
